Holistically Haute: Give Your 2013 Resolutions a Kick Start!

Happy New Year, everyone!?

I hope you all enjoyed holiday season. Were you able to keep it healthy or did you allow yourself to indulge a little? It?s OK to indulge a little during the holidays. You might remember last year I enjoyed the high Vitamin L content within my aunt?s delicious chocolate pie?this year I enjoyed some of my other aunt?s homemade cookies and my mom?s chocolate cream pie (next time you stay at the 1922 Starkey House Bed & Breakfast you?ll have to ask her to make it for you ;).? But as soon as I got home from my travels I got right back on track and I feel great. It really does get easier and easier to return to healthy eating. I will say that I was able to continue to stick to my daily yoga/fitness commitment (which I logged daily at The Holistically Haute Daily Fitness Check-In on Facebook), and I am really proud of myself for that.? I began my New Year with warm lemon water and a fruit, romaine, and wakame smoothie. I also soaked some chia seeds and used them to make a delicious fruit ?pudding? for the kids, which they loved. So if you didn?t totally stick to your health and fitness goals during the holidays, just brush it off and let it go. Today is a new day! So is tomorrow, and the next day?but there is no day like today and there is no time like right now to get back on track.

Some people do really well with starting anew in January and sticking with their health and wellness goals throughout the year. The rest of us, however (yes, myself included), sometimes need a little helping hand.?

I always tell people that I would have reached my health and weight loss goals much sooner if I had a health coach to guide me. New classes, workshops, and online events!

I have so much planned for 2013! I will be teaching more of my all-natural, organic skincare-making classes in the Philadelphia area in more locations, in addition to other health and wellness-related topics.
